Hallmarked in London in 1767 and 1768, and most likely made by John Carter II, this exceptional set of four George III, Antique Sterling Silver Candlesticks, are cast, and feature gadroon borders, swirling inverted fluting at the base of the stems and an engraved crest on each. Each candlestick measures 10.5"(26.5cm) tall, by 4.5"(11.5cm) wide and deep, with a total weight of 78 troy ounces.
