An early 18th century armorial bookplate for Thomas Thoroton Esq. of the Middle Temple, dated 1703.
Thomas Thoroton, 1663-1721, barrister of the Middle Temple, and Recorder of Lincoln; Inherited the manor of Screveton from his father Thomas Thoroton; married Frances Wheeler, granddaughter of Thomas Constable of London, in 1686 and had issue.
