Item Description

Superb Chinese Armorial Porcelain Charger plate made for a daughter of JOHN FRYER Lord Mayor of London 1720. With unusual FEMALE arms. He was a Director of the East India Company and the South Sea Company. He kept a diary of significant events in his life. He lived at WHERWELL PRIORY, HAMPSHIRE.

Measures 15 Inches across.
Crack across and filled painted staple holes. Modern minimal museum type restoration to a high standard. Rings well when tapped.
