Item Description

a Pair of Victorian gilt metal armorial carriage badges, each designed as the coat of arms de Burgh-Canning for Ulick John de Burgh, 1st Marquess of Clanricarde (1802-1874) created Knight of St Patrick in 1831,conjoined with those of his wife Harriet (1804–1876), daughter of George Canning (1770–1827), foreign secretary and later prime minister.
