Item Description
A fine quality Worcester plate, retailed by Phillips of Oxford Street. Turquoise blue ground enriched with gilding. Central crest of a child's head and snake for VAUGHAN.
Phillips of Oxford street began as a retailer in about 1760 next to the 'Pantheon' one of the earliest grand stores. They continued through the 19th into the early 20thC. Jonathan and Jacob took over the business after the death of their father, George Phillips.
Measures approx 9.5 Inches wide.
Excellent condition. The gilding has been restored to a high standard.
