Item Description
A lovely Georgian silver spoon in excellent condition. Lovely weight and a wonderful patina - the result of centuries of careful polishing by a proper butler (it shows in the finish!). Deciphering the hallmarks might be a bit of a challenge to the layperson, but the way in which the hallmarks were struck during the 18th century often results in distortions like you see here. This is completely acceptable for a spoon of this great age. Beautiful crest!
