Item Description
Antique 19th Century early-Victorian Solid Silver bowl, of shaped-circular form, the lobed body embellished with panels profusely chased and embossed with scrolls and flowers on a matted ground, the front engraved with a family crest. The bowl is fitted with the original solid silver liner.
Both the bowl and the liner are Hallmarked English Silver (925 Standard), London, year 1838 (d), Maker's mark B.S (Benjamin Smith III, very important silversmith, eldest son of Benjamin Smith II, one of the leading Royal Silversmiths). Each base is further stamped "B.SMITH DUKE ST LINn INN FIELDS".
CONDITION
In Great condition - No damage, just general wear.
