The Cushing Family Crest

This family is traced back to Thomas Cushing, of Hardingham, Hingham, county Norfolk, England. His descendant, Matthew, married in 1663, and had four sons. They all five came over to Hingham, Mass. This family, connected with the best Boston families, occupied a number of public offices. One of their descendants was Member of Congress in 1774.
