Item Description

The Salvers are circular in form and stand on three cast paw feet, which are decorated with anthemion motifs. The raised border is decorated with a double beaded band enclosing a beautiful border of trailing blue bell drops, an unusual decorative feature to see on salvers. The centre of each piece is engraved with a contemporary Crest and each is very well marked on the reverse. The Salvers are both in excellent condition, with a fine patina. John Crouch I & Thomas Hannam, were specialist maker's of Salvers and Trays, nearly always of the finest quality. They had workshops at 23, Giltspur Street, London, when these Salvers were made.
