Item Description
The Chsmberstick is modelled in a very unusual form with a wide circular base, displaying a raised rim decorated with the same gadrooning as seen on the base. This example displays an oval thumb piece and conical extinguisher, both decorated with reeding. Both the base and nozzle are engraved with a contemporary Crest, with Motto "Fac Et Spera - Do and Hope" above. The Crest and Motto are engraved in the Scottish manner, as they always engraved their Crest below the motto. This piece is in excellent condition and is very well marked on all of the pieces.
