Item Description

This is a sweet little York silver fork with a good weight and balance in the hand. The crest is engraved on the reverse of the handle, which means this piece came from a household which set the table in the Continental style, with spoons and forks turned so that the tips of the spoons and the tines of the forks touch the table. Very grand indeed. The crest has been nicely engraved and the hallmarks are clearly visible.
